Nuala's practice has a major focus on representing nonprofit and tax exempt organizations. She began her legal career in Belfast, Northern Ireland with a focus on personal injury and business litigation and family law. In one notable case she represented plaintiffs who obtained a record-breaking settlement. Since moving to the United States, Nuala attained an advanced law degree with a specialty in employment issues and passed the Michigan Bar. She has practiced law in Ann Arbor since 1995.  In addition to nonprofit and tax exempt law, she maintains involvement in litigation and employment law.

Nuala has extensive experience volunteering with different nonprofit organizations in many capacities, including president of the board of directors for a social services organization. She brings her insights and enthusiasm for the work of nonprofits to her practice.
